NL: Henda Flowers opens new greenhouse

Dutch chrysantemum grower Henda Flowers opened a new, 6 hectare greenhousein. In the presence of family and friends and, of course, construction partners and suppliers, the three children of Henry and Hilde Satter cut a ribbon.

Cutting the ribbon. At the opening Mark Looije of Looije Agro Technics briefly spoke.

With the new building, Henda Flowers grows to over 10 ha of production. The nursery itself, which measures over 6 ha, is equipped with all modern cultivation facilities: air treatment units, fogging, netting in the windows, LEDs, a flower transport tunnel below the centre aisle, etc. The same goes for the processing area, which measures 2,750 m2, and a new office.

Henda Flowers is part of Coƶperatie Kreling Chrysanten, a group of chrysanthemum growers that together produce a staggering amount (200 million +) of stems on an annual basis. The vast majority of these find their way to retailers across Europe.

A peek inside the greenhouse. The first stems have already been harvested. A handful of varieties are produced, which mainly come from Deliflor's breeding programs.

Jam-packed.

View inside the greenhouse and the greenhouse deck. Supplier will recognize, among others, the netting, LED, fogging, air hoses, and double screens (including vertical screens at the side of the aisle).
