Tulip Experience Amsterdam opens tulip experience for tourist

Noordwijkerhout has a new experience for visitors to the Bollenstreek At Tulip Experience Amsterdam in Lisse, a family business that is part of bulb company W.A.M. Pennings and has been growing tulips for three generations. Visitors will have the opportunity to take beautiful photos without damaging the precious fields in the Bollenstreek. Visitors will step into a beautiful color palette of tulips and take photos here in the show garden with 1 million tulips in 700 varieties from its own nursery. The show garden also features a number of specially equipped photo points for shooting the perfect picture.

In the museum, visitors are interactively taken on the tulip's journey around the world, from its discovery in Kazakhstan around the year 1000 to its current status as an icon of the Netherlands. Visitors learn all about the tulip and the cycle of bulb cultivation using state-of-the-art machines and old objects (from before 1950). The story is vividly told from the bulb grower's point of view.

To complete the experience, visitors will have the opportunity to pick a free bunch of tulips from the indoor garden to take home. There are also several art exhibitions, a cinema, a café serving Dutch delicacies, and a local market selling tulip souvenirs and local products.

Tulip Experience Amsterdam will be open daily from 9 am to 6 pm in 2023 from Friday, March 24 to Sunday, May 14. The experience is located at Delfweg 37 in Noordwijkerhout and is easily accessible by car, bicycle, or public transport.
