March 31st:

Workshop on breeders rights protection in Mexico for Dutch plant breeders

Over the last few years, The Embassy of The Netherlands in Mexico has worked closely with Dutch and Mexican stakeholders to improve the protection of breeders' rights in Mexico's ornamental sector.

As part of this effort, we, together with Naktuinbouw, Plantum, and Mexico's Seed Inspection and Certification Service (SNICS), would like to invite you to the online workshop "Ornamental Certification System in Mexico" on Friday, March 31, 15:00 – 18:00 (NL time).

During the workshop, SNICS will present the different mechanisms and tools available for breeders to strengthen and guarantee their breeder's rights in Mexico. Additionally, a new public–private initiative between Mexico's Ministry of Agriculture and Mexico's national retail association ANTAD as well as a new private certification (Floregal), will be presented.

We would love to welcome you to this online event.
