Selecta one warns against misuse of registered trademarks

Selecta one draws attention to the trademark protection of its carnations as they observed and discovered some incidents in the last few weeks, which they cannot leave uncommented. "We have seen offers where the Selecta genetics do not match the concept pot and even worse that non-Selecta genetic was sold under protected brand names of Selecta one. Also, in the interest of all customers who follow the rules and respect rights, we cannot allow a few people to exploit our good name ", says Klaus Gaumann, Marketing Director at this Stuttgart-based breeding company.

Therefore, they sent out a message to create general awareness for trademark rights in the entire supply chain, strengthen their position and defend their trademark rights:

"Especially for Pink Kisses® as the best-selling single product, there are several international protection rights for name, logo, and images (e.g. trademark protection register number 011 261 724 of 11.03.2013). For Oscar® as the leading series (trademark protection register number 009 239 328 of 24.12.2010), there is also extensive trademark protection as a registered international trademark in addition to variety protection. These and many other protected names of the Selecta carnation assortment may therefore be used exclusively for Selecta genetics. This also applies to the use of corresponding concept pots and labels."

The company will take legal action against infringements and misuse of names. "We will not accept any violation of our trademark rights," says Gaumann.
