Mother's Day in Spain:

"Some florists expect to earn 15% of their annual turnover this day"

In some countries, Mother's Day was celebrated last Sunday (May 7). Also, in Spain and it is an important holiday for the country's florists. According to data provided by the Spanish Association of Florists - AEFI, some florists are expected to earn 15% of their annual turnover this day. 

Orchids, Anthurium, Spathiphyllum, Guzmania, and Kalanchoe, along with different outdoor species, are the best-selling plants. Among the flowers, peonies, calla lilies, tulips, and ranunculus stood out. Varied flower bouquets, especially seasonal ones, baskets, and other compositions or arrangements with plants and also with preserved products were on display. And the sector embraces sustainable proposals, and packaging made with natural and recyclable materials is a trend, Iberflora reports. 

"Sales channels are becoming more and more professionalized, as are production, manufacturing, and trade. Iberflora'23 will be a reflection of the last hour of the ornamental sector. "
