A Mediterranean wind is about to blow into the low countries

Papanikolaou Nurseries has been active in Greece since 1965, producing around 500 varieties of plants on an area of 10 hectares and supplying neighboring countries for a long time. Now, they have their eyes set on the Netherlands.

“We are always looking for new opportunities both in exporting and in terms of new varieties that align with what the market wants and needs. We now aim to expand our activities and export top quality plants to the Netherlands, supplying them with Mediterranean plants not produced there or in other Northern European countries,” says John Papanikolaou.

The company is already hard at work contacting Dutch trading companies, presenting their production profile and plant assortment, looking for trading companies through their contacts in Europe, and visiting various exhibitions such as Greentech in Amsterdam and IPM Essen.

“We will be supplying Bougainvillea, Hibiscus, Nerium Oleander, Lantana, Callistemon, Metrosideros, Polygala, Stipa (and other grasses), Jasminum, Lavandula-Rosmarinus (and other aromatic plants), Laurus Nobilis, Olive trees, Fruit and Citrus trees, just to name a few. We aim to start these sales in the Spring season.”
