US (OH): Winter's Interlude at Kingwood Center Gardens

Winter’s Interlude is an orchid presentation at Kingwood Center Gardens, where nearly 250 orchids, along with air plants and tropical plants, decorate the intimate space of the Orangery in the Display Greenhouse. On display now until March 9, Winter’s Interlude displays both common and exotic orchid species shipped to Kingwood from as far as Hawaii.

“This design is meant to combine natural elements with the existing architecture to highlight the beautiful brick arches and spacious vaulted ceiling as well as the unique beauty found in each plant," said Kingwood Gardener MacKenzie Cole. "Orchids, air plants, moss, and other tropical plants are hung from trees or mounted to vertical spaces to reflect their natural habit as epiphytes.”
