A lot of talking about 'legumes' and serres', and of course a lot of wine bottles unpopped. French trade show Sival came to an end yesterday. The trade show was well visited this year.
Jacco de Graaf had great support this year in building the booth!
For 3 days, professionals in the sector - more than 700 exhibitors and 25,000 visitors on 39,000 m² of exhibition space - were able to exchange and gather around numerous conferences, forums and dedicated spaces.
From the first morning at the Parc des Expositions d'Angers, exhibitors were positive. "There are already a lot of people in the early hours of the morning, which suggests a great 2025 edition, especially since the cold and the risk of frost, making it difficult to work outdoors, could bring in more visitors".
Automation is always an important topic in the French industry, which is why the IDM team brought their solutions
The common theme of SIVAL this year? The climate and more specifically global warming. The show hosted events on the transition to low-carbon, resilient and economically viable agriculture; as well as the presentation of the CLIMATVEG project led by Vegepolys Valley: 12 presentations provided a preview of the work of the various contributors to the project. From water resource management to soil resilience and the adaptation of technical production routes, this series of conferences were aimed at all sectors of specialized plants. Every day there was also a meeting about diversification of production, to provide answers to the need for producers to adapt to climate change, in particular by finding new production methods.
Getting up high with Wouter Steenks - the company Steenks is always present with their partner Atout Services
And of course the Richel team! They had a good show so far and are ready for the final hours
Later on, we'll provide you with more photos - although due to health reasons, our horticultural editor could not make it to the show, we'll still look to find a way to keep you informed.
