Polish proven plants catalog translated into English

A bestseller in Poland for many years in the gardening handbook category now also available in English. Catalog of Proven Plants offers an extensive selection of plants that not only enhance the beauty of any landscape but also support biodiversity by attracting and sustaining pollinators.

This catalog introduces a carefully curated collection of plants available throughout Europe that are ideal for a range of garden designs, from private estates to public spaces. Selected not only for their aesthetic appeal but also for their crucial role in supporting pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects. This focus is especially timely as we face the global challenge of declining insect populations, many of which are vital for the health of our ecosystems.

A diverse range of species for every project
The catalog offers a wide selection of plant species that are perfect for various environmental conditions. Whether you're designing a pollinator garden, a green roof, or a public park, you'll find the perfect plants to suit your needs. Each plant has been carefully selected for its ability to thrive in its respective climate and soil conditions, ensuring not only its beauty but also its long-term sustainability.

The catalog provides information about 2872 proven plants, including novelties. The plants listed for the catalog were selected and recommended by members of Polish Nurserymen Association.

The description of each plant consists of a short description of its key features, requirements and uses, a plant silhouette (after 10 or 30 years) with a diagram of human figure standing next to it, a photo, a zone of frost resistance, a preferred sunny position, an infographic designation of plants suitable for urban areas, symbol to distinguish insect-friendly plants (i.e. honey-, pollen-, nectar- and honeydew-producing), and agraphic designating pioneer plants in terms of their drought resistance.

There is also a list of 107 arrangements to recreate in the garden or green areas based on the catalog.

Practical tool for introducing biodiversity
As research carried out in the UK on biodiversity has shown, it is incomparably higher in gardens where plants have been introduced by humans than in non-urbanised areas where only native plants grow.

From low-maintenance, drought-tolerant species perfect for arid climates, to lush, native plants suited for temperate regions, the Catalogue of Proven Plants offers solutions for a variety of garden types. Additionally, the catalog includes expert tips on how to select the right plants based on your location, ensuring that your landscaping project not only thrives but also contributes to the health of local ecosystems.

The reliability of the information and its compact form has been appreciated by thousands of gardeners in Poland - both hobbyists and professionals. Thanks to the universality of the English language, gardeners from other European countries can now use the catalog too. We invite you to explore the new Catalogue of Proven Plants and begin planting for a brighter, more biodiverse future. If you wish to order the catalog, you can do so by clicking here.
