On Wednesday, April 23rd, AdeptAg, Paul Boers Manufacturing and Prins Greenhouses co-hosted an open house event at Kamps Hydrangea in Vineland Station, ON to showcase their impressive new greenhouse facility. The event welcomed industry professionals from across the region to celebrate this milestone alongside brothers Marcel, Paul, and Tim Kamps.
This expansion includes a substantial warehouse upgrade, creating enhanced space for machinery and irrigation equipment.
The poly-covered greenhouse structure includes a double screen system and a central twin roll screen, allowing the interior to be divided into two distinct climate zones as needed.
The irrigation system, custom-designed and supplied by Zwart Systems includes a new, dedicated irrigation room and provides precision watering solutions tailored to the unique needs of the operation.
The timing of the event coincided with the active planting season, allowing guests to view the greenhouse in full operation. Millions of hydrangea cuttings were on display, vividly demonstrating the scale, efficiency, and capacity of the new facility.
Guests enjoyed refreshments, including the traditional Dutch snack bitterballen, adding a personal and cultural touch to the celebration. A custom cake adorned with the Kamps Hydrangeas logo was also unveiled in honor of the brothers' latest achievement.
