Air France KLM Martinair Cargo introduces enhanced allotment customisation on myCargo platform

In response to the growing demand for a seamless, flexible, and fully digital cargo experience, Air France KLM Martinair Cargo recently released a significant update to its myCargo platform: the new allotment customisation functionality. This update brings the autonomy of spot bookings to contracted capacity, thus providing their customers with full control over their allotment bookings.

Building on their commitment to simplify every step – from quotation and booking through to tracking – the latest update to the auto-booking feature enables customers to tailor their allotment bookings to match their contractual requirements, resulting in a faster, more efficient process.

The key new features of the update include AWB number selection, which enables the use of self-chosen AWB numbers to streamline operations and support internal consistency. Additionally, there is origin and destination selection, allowing for the definition of specific shipment start and end points to meet routing requirements. The update also includes goods and handling specification, which facilitates the input of detailed cargo and handling information in line with contractual agreements. Lastly, shipper designation supports the selection of shippers in accordance with existing contract terms.

In a nutshell, the customer benefits of the update include enhanced flexibility, allowing for the effortless management of complex contracts, including multi-origin/destination and product group contracts. There is also greater efficiency, as customers can determine their own AWB numbers, overcoming the limitations of pre-assigned AWBs and thus accelerating booking and handling processes. Lastly, the update empowers customers with self-service capabilities, providing a fully digital and self-managed booking experience.

GertJan Roelands, SVP Commercial at Air France KLM Martinair Cargo: "Empowering our customers to manage their business anytime, anywhere lies at the heart of our digital strategy. The new allotment customisation option in myCargo is a game-changer, giving users full control over their allocations 24/7. This launch marks a key milestone in our commercial transformation and reaffirms our commitment to customer-centric innovation."
