For 90 years, Onings Holland has colored the world. The Dutch bulb exporter started small and locally, but now supplies to more than 50 countries, thanks to their top-quality bulbs. Lily, tulip, iris, gladiolus, hyacinth, and amaryllis bulbs are selections from their wide assortment that they supply with great passion and dedication. Between June 3-6, both the international Dutch Lily Days and the 90th anniversary of Onings Holland are in the spotlight. Every response to the thousands of flowering lilies that Onings Holland is receiving will contribute to the Lily League® ranking.
From the previous editions of the Dutch Lily Days, it is clear that there is a lot of debate around the popularity and potential of different lily varieties. Growers, exporters, florists, and consumers come together to discuss this topic. What lilies are available today and which ones are ready for the future? This question can be answered by voting. With Lily League, Onings makes a top 50 based on all votes during and around this four-day Lily event.
Plenty of choices
Besides hundreds of different lily varieties, there is special attention to sustainable growing methods that should make the cultivation of lily bulbs future-proof. The Dutch Lily Days is the perfect and festive occasion to check and compare all varieties and determine which ones deserve a spot in the Lily League of this year. Also, varieties that are not shown in the Onings greenhouse have a chance to make it to the top 50.
Voting starts now
Voting can be done among thousands of flowering lilies in the test greenhouse of Onings, where forms are available to fill in. In case visiting Onings for the Dutch Lily Days is not possible, there is a voting tool online. On the Onings Holland website, there are hundreds of lily varieties in the online database. By selecting one of the varieties, the product page with voting button will appear. The rest speaks for itself.
