Landgard Inside 2025:

Germany: Influencers experience green diversity

How do flowers, plants, fruits, and vegetables actually reach the market? What innovations are transforming the industry today? These and many other questions took center stage at Landgard Inside 2025. On May 22 and 23, the team behind the "1000 gute Gründe" (1000 Good Reasons) initiative—launched by 2,600 growers, primarily from Germany, in collaboration with Landgard—welcomed nine bloggers from the flowers & plants and fruits & vegetables sectors to Straelen-Herongen, Germany. The aim: to give these influencers an authentic behind-the-scenes look into the vibrant world of horticulture, and to bridge the gap between digital storytelling and the real-life processes of agricultural production.

This year's participants included: Amelie (@amelies_sweet_home), Arminka (@petitsouriredesign), Charlotte (@lotteandfood), Genevieve (@stylingkitchen), Irina (@ira.natura.liebe), Julia (@pureallotment), Olga (@voll_korn), Petra (@holladiekochfee), and Svenja (@designeablehome).

Trend talk and behind-the-scenes glimpse
Following a get-together the evening before, the event kicked off early the next morning. The first stop took participants to the auction at Veiling Rhein-Maas, where CEO Günther Esser provided an exclusive look behind the scenes of the auction operations. Guests witnessed firsthand the dynamic and precise way fresh flowers and plants are traded in the auction hall and "behind the clock."

Another program highlight was the expert talk with Johannes Kronenberg, CEO of Landgard Flowers & Plants. He focused on current industry trends, sustainability, and innovative reusable concepts like the BringBackPot and EPT reusable trays – all of which sparked great interest among the visitors. Johannes Kronenberg on the value of the event:
"I always find it exciting to engage with people who are so passionate about our products. Landgard Inside helps us better understand their perspective and allows us to bring them closer to our world of horticulture."

Experiencing diversity firsthand
After a nourishing break with fresh smoothie bowls from partner Yuicery, served from the "1000 Good Reasons" food truck, the group headed to the Landgard Cash & Carry market in Herongen. Touring the various marketing halls – where the trade meets green content directly – sales expert Rainer van Dick gave visitors a vivid impression of the product diversity offered by Landgard's producer operations.

Experiencing and tasting organic culture
The day concluded with a visit to Gartenbau Rankers, an organic herb farm in Straelen. Under beautiful weather, the content creators had the chance to observe the production of high-quality organic herbs from seed to finished plant – with plenty of delicious samples along the way. Swen Rankers, who runs the family business, was thrilled by the genuine interest:
"What a wonderful day at our farm! It was so great to see how much curiosity there is about our work, our herbs, and our vegetables for the trade. There were questions, laughter, tastings, and photos – and we truly appreciated the open exchange! Thank you to everyone who joined – for your curiosity, enthusiasm, and appreciation of our work. We look forward to seeing you again – and to 1000 more good reasons!"

Dialogue builds trust
Formats like Landgard Inside are more important than ever. Content creators are key multipliers when it comes to inspiring consumers with fresh flowers, plants, fruits, and vegetables. At the same time, the demand for authenticity and real background knowledge is growing in the digital space. Events like this one make the complex processes of production and marketing tangible and understandable. Social media creators gain a well-founded understanding of product diversity, sustainable solutions, and the daily work in the green sector. They pass these impressions on to their communities in a credible and relatable way – making a valuable contribution to the appreciation of green products.

"Landgard Inside is always a great opportunity for us to show our partners how much passion, expertise, and personal dedication goes into the green industry's daily work," says Michael Hermes, Head of Marketing and Communications at Landgard. "Landgard Inside 2025 was once again a complete success. It clearly demonstrated the importance of direct dialogue between producer cooperatives and committed content creators – and how many good reasons there are to make the green industry visible together." The trust and long-term partnerships that arise from such events make the investment in planning and personal support more than worthwhile.
