Lazzeri at FlowerTrials 2025

"We could not be more pleased with the level of interest in our genetics"

"This year's FlowerTrials in the Netherlands has surpassed expectations," says the Lazzeri Team. "As we reflect on the event, we can say that the level of engagement and interest we received was remarkable. The visitors—spanning from Europe, Asia, and America—showed a clear enthusiasm for our genetics, and we are grateful for everyone who took the time to visit our stand."

"We could not be more pleased with the level of interest in our genetics. FlowerTrials 2025 was a great opportunity to showcase our products to a global audience, and the feedback we received was very valuable," he adds. "It wasn't just about displaying a few varieties; we aimed to present the entire scope of our genetics to growers, distributors, brokers, and retailers. The response was overwhelmingly positive."

The Lazzeri team at FlowerTrials

As part of creating a memorable experience at the event, the Lazzeri team embraced a small but meaningful gesture. "Each day, we wore a t-shirt in a different color. It was a simple but symbolic way to unite the team and make our presence more approachable," they add. "It helped to create an atmosphere that was both friendly and professional, allowing for meaningful interactions with all our visitors."

This year, Lazzeri presented four standout varieties.

Poinsettia – Carmen Red
A poinsettia with a bright charm, medium-large red bracts and medium vigour. This variety is distinguished by its low requirement for plant growth regulators (PGRs), a medium-early earliness of approximately 7.5 weeks and an end-of-cultivation temperature of 15°C.

This plant variety boasts several notable characteristics. It features strong branching, allowing for the option of leaving one leaf per desired stem, and it naturally grows in a V-shape without the need for external supports like rings. An extended sales window is facilitated by the early appearance of bracts preceding the cyathia, making it an attractive choice for production and sale. Furthermore, its suitability for all pot sizes ensures versatility and a long lifespan, adding to its appeal for both growers and buyers.

Poinsettia – Papagena
Characterised by white/pink bracts, this variety stands out for its unique colour and strong branching, even in difficult growing conditions. With medium vigour and medium-late earliness of 8-8.5 weeks, it is grown at temperatures of around 14°C.

This plant variety is distinguished by its excellent branching capabilities, even in challenging conditions, making it a resilient choice for growers. The ability to use pinching techniques allows for precise control over the number of leaves, enhancing its aesthetic appeal. It has a medium requirement for plant growth regulators (PGRs) and exhibits more intense colors when exposed to low temperatures. Additionally, its adaptability to various pot sizes, ranging from the largest 15 cm to the smallest 6 cm pots, makes it a versatile option for different growing needs.

Dipladenia – Brasiliera
For the Mandevilla series, Lazzeri would like to highlight Brasileira Rose, recently introduced and highly appreciated for its intense pink colour and unique flower shape. This exotic plant stands out for:

This plant is known for its early and abundant flowering, offering a vibrant display that enhances its appeal. It also boasts a diverse range of flower shapes and colors, providing variety and visual interest. The plant's vigorous nature, coupled with excellent branching, makes it an ideal choice for a wide range of pot sizes, from 10.5 cm up to XXL. This adaptability and robustness ensure it meets various decorative and cultivation needs.

Verbena – Encantada
New Verbena Encantada series, a line of brightly coloured varieties available in two versions: Classic and Fantasy. Both are distinguished by their early and abundant flowering, compact and uniform growth, without the need for pinching or PGRs treatments.

The Encantada Classic variety is distinguished by its intensely colored, shiny, and uniform flowers, which create a striking visual impact. It is notable for its early and abundant flowering, providing a lush and vibrant display. Complementing the vivid blooms, the plant features small, dark green foliage that enhances its overall aesthetic appeal.

The Encantada Fantasy variety captivates with its large, eye-catching bicolored flowers, making it a standout choice for those seeking visual interest. It is characterized by very early and abundant flowering, ensuring a vibrant display throughout its blooming period. This plant features medium-sized, glossy, bright green foliage, which provides an attractive backdrop to its striking flowers, enhancing its overall aesthetic appeal.
