New Kenyan grower specializes in T-hybrid roses

Mona Flowers Kenya Ltd is a new and dynamic entrant in Kenya's floriculture landscape. Nestled at an altitude of 2,250 meters in the pristine highlands of Eldoret, the farm is redefining premium rose production through its commitment to sustainability, quality, and exceptional customer experience. With production already underway, Mona Flowers is poised for its official brand launch in November 2025. As it steps onto the global stage, the company carries a clear vision to lead the future of sustainable flower production and export from Kenya.

The farm specializes in T-hybrid roses with very big heads, vibrant colors, and extended vase life, cultivated under optimal high-altitude conditions. This natural advantage, combined with responsible farming practices, allows Mona to deliver flowers with stronger stems, richer hues, and superior resilience.

The Crested Crane serves as the symbol of Mona Flowers, a bird the company holds dearly for its grace, resilience, and elegance. Its image, featured prominently on the flower sleeves and other brand materials, reflects Mona's deep respect for nature and its harmony with the environment. Often seen around the farm's surroundings, the Crested Crane embodies the spirit of beauty, balance, and sustainability that defines the Mona brand. In line with its environmental philosophy, Mona is working to create a conducive environment where the cranes can continue to thrive naturally, reinforcing the company's commitment to biodiversity and responsible floriculture.

Commercial outlook
Head of Commercial, Yvonne Chelagat Tirop, emphasizes the importance of customer experience. "Every customer touchpoint matters," she says. "From packaging and communication to on-time delivery, we want our buyers to experience reliability, excellence, and the warmth of Kenyan floriculture. Our value proposition is simple but powerful: premium quality flowers, a sustainable supply chain, and a brand promise of elegance in every stem."

On the production side, Charles Mulemba, Head of Farm and Production, underlines the company's drive for excellence: "Our commitment is to build a model farm along the entire value chain, anchored in best practice and an unwavering focus on producing exceptional quality flowers with big heads, strong stems, and long vase life."

Brand identity
The name Mona, associated with beauty and grace, captures the essence of the brand. Its vibrant, multi-colored logo symbolizes freshness, diversity, and growth, while the tagline "Elegance in Every Stem" communicates its promise to customers worldwide.

Committing to sustainability
Beyond quality, sustainability is a cornerstone of Mona's operations. The farm has scaled up by embracing renewable energy, with a significant percentage of its energy needs now met through solar. "Alongside responsible farming methods, protective attire, and eco-conscious delivery solutions, Mona is striving to set new benchmarks in sustainable floriculture."
