US (IL): Severe weather lifted a greenhouse off the ground

Sunday night's severe weather lifted a greenhouse off the ground. The Danville Gardens Flower Shop, on Prospect Avenue, only sustained minimal damage. Some of the framing on the greenhouse was bent, but that's fixable.

The wind lifted the greenhouse off the ground about three or four feet. The door was hanging and shelves and plants were scattered on the ground. Monday, employees came in and took all the plants out of the greenhouse, picked out the ones which weren't damaged too much, then reorganized the plants back on shelves.

The greenhouse wasn't bolted to the ground which is one reason why the wind was able to lift it off the ground. The manager says, in his ten years, he's never seen anything like this.
