Sneak peek California Spring Trials 2018

What to expect at the California Spring Trials 2018? In the coming weeks FloralDaily.com will highlight one product from each participating company in a series of five articles. In this edition, we show the top products from 8 companies; Beekenkamp, Sakata Ornamentals, Elsner-PAC, Westhoff, Jaldety, Cohen, ABZ Seeds, Green Fuse Botanicals.

The California Spring Trials is a week-long event held at various locations throughout California, from April 14-19. Breeders, growers and suppliers will showcase their newest varieties and products.

Beekenkamp - Leona Superstar

Jaldety - Aeonium haworthii Bicolor

A great additional texture and color plant, evergreen low growing dense, succulent, with an attractive green and dark red edged foliage, easy to grow, low maintenance, drought and salt tolerance. These are the characteristics of the new variety of Jaldety that carries the name: Aeonium haworthii Bicolor. ABZ Seeds - Strawberry F1 Summer Breeze
Strawberry F1 Summer Breeze series is bred by ABZ Seeds and according to the breeder it is the new sensation in ornamental strawberries. The rose-like double flowers are real eye-catchers. This double type of flowers keep their color for a considerable longer period than the single types. Most locations are open 8 am - 5 pm, but if you are interested in visiting any of the locations, it is recommended (and sometimes required) that you make a reservation. Unlike last year, AmericanHort does not host the registration this year, for a selected number of companies one can register on www.springtrialsregistration.com.

There is no fee to participate, but the trials are not open to the general public (only for businesses and their employees associated with the horticulture industry) and transportation and logistics are the responsibility of the attendee.
