Will Dümmen Orange buy Syngenta's flower business?

Dümmen Orange, showed interest in the flower seed business of Syngenta, reports fd.nl. "We will definitely request an Information Memorandum," says Dümmen oranges CEO Biense Visser. Last Wednesday, Syngenta announced its intention to divest its premium Flowers seeds business from its Lawn and Garden operating unit.

Visser will not decide immediately if he will place a bid. "I've just returned from my holidays. I was surprised by this announcement. It is a company with a turnover of approximately € 200 million. We will definitely consider the possibilities of taking over this business."

Syngenta will continue to invest in its industry-leading chemistry for professional products markets such as golf courses and industrial pest management.
