Belgium: New beer tastes like... chrysanthemums

Gediflora is a European market leader in breeding and growing pot chrysanthemums. Together with brewery ’t Gaverhopke they have launched the first beer that tastes like chrysanthemums.

Belgium MUM N°1 is a 'blonde' beer with chrysanthemum extract that is being brewed in brewery ’t Gaverhopke in Belgium. "Every year we go to several exhibitions. In order to differentiate from the rest, we've put our own beer; the Belgium MUM N°1 on the market," says David Daenens of Gediflora. 1,000 have been brewed.
