at Belgium auction Euroveiling

Christmas decks the auction halls

Plants covered in glitters or snow and offered in Christmas themed pots and sleeves. At the Belgian auction Euroveiling, many of these so-called 'added value items' are currently on offer, these can be considered as 'the new kid on the block'. "Compared to last year, not only the number of these items increased, but the range of products too."

Since the second week of November Euroveiling has started to increase the quantity of the Christmas items. "We are one month underway and as Christmas is nearing, we see the demand and supply of these Christmas products increasing. And besides the increased offer of the added value items, there are more differences regarding last year's offer".

The Hellebore (with/without leaves) in pot sizes 9 to 23, for example, are offered in larger numbers compared to last year. "And fortunately, these plants are selling well at the moment", he adds. The number of Primulas, however, is lower than last year. "And they therefore receive higher prices."

And of course, there are many more classic Christmas items on offer, but no obvious changes can be noticed in these categories. "At Euroveiling you can find both, the 'classics' that always do well like the Nordmann, Fraseri, Epicea Christmas trees, Amaryllis, Poinsettia, Anthuriums, as well as a more modern range of products that are recognizable by its specific X-mas theme finishing, such as spray paint roses and dried products, waxed products, special pottery & packaging on our products etc."

Coming weeks
The demand for the Christmas products will increase in the coming weeks, which, in turn, results in prices that will slowly rise. "An important task for Euroveiling is to make sure that, as the demand for Christmas items increases, to keep offering our buyers a wide range of products during this period."

Euroveiling
Euroveiling is based in Brussels and is the last remaining cooperative auction for flowers & plants in Belgium. It offers flowers and plants to wholesalers, garden centers and florists that are based in the territory of Belgium & the north of France. These buyers are specifically on the lookout for Belgian quality products - which makes us unique. To complete the total offer, they expand their product lines with import products that come from all over the world.

The plants and flowers are being sold physically through five auction clocks and digitally through a web shop and remote buying. In addition to this, buyers can also use the services of commissioners or intermediary service to order the products they need.

Apart from the auction and its facilities, buyers can also visit the various C&C’s on location for their floral bases, accessories, decoration articles, packaging and so on, turning Euroveiling into a one-stop-shop.
