Expo Agroalimentaria 2018, Irapuato, Mexico - floriculture pavillion

For the first time, a floricultural pavillion at the Expo Agroalimentaria. At this pavilion, over 20 flower and ornamental plant growers, breeders and floral suppliers were presenting their products. The majority of the flowers and almost all plants are produced for national demand. And what are the most popular products? At first glance, the orchids, succulents and poinsettias are.

The team of Agro Negocios Muñoz. They grow several flowers and have a flower shop in Mexico City. Next to supplying the Mexican market, they also export their flowers to los Angeles, Las Vegas and Phoenix in the USA. One special product that they were showcasing at the show was the rose in a bowls with water. "It is special water that extends the shelf life to the flower up to one year."

Maximo Arias ans Carlos ALonso Miranda of Asflorvi (Asociacion de Floricutlores de Villa Guerrero A.C.). This is an association that consists of 708 members. The growers grow flowers for the national market, but export them to the US as well. Two times a week, a truck with flowers is being exported to the US.
