From left to right: Richard Saarloos (product trade manager NL) Sirekit Mol (marketing manager) and Bas van der Kraan (NL representative).
Sirekit: "The image of the begonia could use a boost. With the Evi we have a very strong, colorful plant that will hopefully contribute to this. Besides on the windowsill, it is also ideal for use in the garden. And it has many large flowers that bloom for several months."
The product groups being shown are diverse: achillea, anemone, bacopa, begonia (room and garden), bidens, campanula, dahlia, dianthus, helianthus, lobelia, pericallis, petunia, marigold and verbena. Special attention is being given to the Sunray, a sunflower in a pot, among others. And the anemone range is also being highlighted. "This may also be a bit of an old-fashioned plant, but it is currently making a comeback." The anemones are not being bred by Beekenkamp themselves (this is done by Sakata), but the company does take care of a large part of the propagation.
Fire scare
The bustle was briefly interrupted by a fire alarm. Although emergency services appeared with large equipment - there even seems to have been a helicopter - nothing turned out to be wrong. A blown bulb ..
The trials can still be visited till 17:00 this afternoon!
