For about ten years, the technique of forcing tulips has been developed quite well. At KG Systems, they know everything about it. Bernardo Greeve: "We were the first to introduce the possibility of forcing tulips in a multi-layer system, and now it's even possible for up to 10 layers."
In such a system, the tulip is always in motion for optimal growth. Together with a business partner, KG Systems developed an advanced system that ensures the tulips are always in the right position. It's always going to be about how the tulips rotate through the greenhouse in the most efficient way.
Goal
Bernardo indicates that they are the market leader in the field of cultivation table systems. Even during the difficult years for horticulture, their turnover continued to grow. Ferry Greeve started KG Systems at that time. Bernardo: "He started at the right time and now we are very well positioned in the market with our tables. Up till now, we have gained experience with our tables with every cultivation. With the high production of cultivation tables we are also able to keep the cost low." Market leadership is not a goal in itself. The ambitions of KG Systems go further. The spread of their activities will be further expanded in the coming years.
KG Systems is in the same building as KG Greenhouses. KG Greenhouses builds turnkey greenhouses. The companies have the same owners, but each is a separate entity. Of course, they benefit from each other’s knowledge and expertise. Bernardo: "We complement each other where it is useful. The combination works well. It is good to share our knowledge in this way."
