Netherlands: Florensis buys 16 hectare plot

Florensis is further expanding its own production facilities for young plants. On Friday, January 26, Florensis CEO Leo Hoogendoorn signed the agreement to purchase more than 16 ha of land in Dutch greenhouse region Nieuw Prinsenland. The plot was purchased from the Tuinbouw Ontwikkelings Maatschappij (TOM).

The new location was chosen with a view to the future, the strong growth, and Florensis' reinforced sustainability policy. Combined facilities regarding energy, water purification and water storage will, combined with the sustainable building, contribute to achieving Florensis' current and future environmental goals.
