NL: 15 million for new geothermal heat well

Ammerlaan The Green Innovator has received a 15 million euro loan for the construction of a new geothermal doublet. 5 million will be provided by the municipality of Pijnacker-Nootdorp, 5 million by the province of South Holland and 5 million by Rabobank.

The existing well is no longer usable due to an underground break in the well casing. This means that Ammerlaan has not been able to supply heat for some months now to a few growers, a swimming pool, a school and a few apartment blocks. With the construction of a new doublet, which will also have to have a much higher efficiency, the distribution of heat can commence again.
