Uganda: Wagagai organizes Kids Day 2018

Wagagai recently had their first Wagagai Kids Day 2018. "We are very proud and humbled with the result", says Olav Boenders, CEO of Wagagai. Over 1,000 kids with parents from the surrounding neighborhood came to the Wagagai sports field for a fun day, that was organized just for them.

During the day there was also the second Youth Soccer tournament with 4 teams including the nursery's own Wagagai Warriors Youth team. Activities included a bouncing castle, face painting, food, drinks, dance competition and many more activities. The Health center also made sure over 700 kids were dewormed as well on the day.

"The cost for the day was negligible and we can highly recommend other farms in the horticulture to also follow this initiative. It is just absolutely great to see the joy and fun these kids can have when there is a dedicated day just for them", Olav says. "We also would like to thank Royal Lemkes for supporting this event financially as well."
