Huisman has recently signed a contract to supply a geothermal doublet in Pijnacker. The drilling of wells has started at the end of April. The installation will heat a large area of greenhouses, a neighboring residential area, and the local swimming pool. The wells will be drilled to depths of about 2300 meters.
The wells will be drilled with Huisman's LOC 400 drill tower - a completely containerized modular tower, equipped with a fully automated pipe manipulator and drilling floor. The LOC already successfully completed a geothermal project in Bergschenhoek.
