US (NJ): First Tulip Festival attracts attention

"Don't fly to Holland. Drive to Holland." This is the slogan of New Jersey based Holland Ridge Farms who organized the first Tulip Festival in the Tri-State area, an hour south of New York City and an hour north of Philadelphia. It was held from April 21-May 10 and it is said that it attracted thousands of visitors. Following the positive reactions, the farm is already preparing for the second edition that will take place next spring.

Holland Ridge Farms are fourth generation tulip growers from Holland, with the youngest always helping in the fields, that cover over 140 acres. Next to their heritage, their tulips come from Holland as well; in 120 varieties of bulbs. Their farm is modeled after the great tulip fields of Holland with their tulip fields designed by the same former architect, Jan Guldemond, of Keukenhof and other festivals around the world.

Below are two videos to give an impression of the Festival.
