NL: Dracaena grower De Plaats launches Tornado

During the IPM 2017 in Essen held from 24-27 January, 2017, the newest Dracaena Fragrans (group Compacta) Tornado will be presented and will compete for the “IPM Primeur 2017” in the category flowering and green houseplants. The novelty presentation is in Hall 1A. The plant will also be on show in the stand of Ornamentex B.V. import and export of young plants, located in Hall 1D38 and also as potplants in the stand of Waterdrinker Aalsmeer, The Netherlands, in Hall 1B09.

After 10 years of an intensive selection process, our new Dracaena Tornado is ready for the introduction into the market. Dracaena fr. Tornado has a twisted shape with beautiful dark green leaves with lovely wide lime-coloured edges which makes it an ideal plant for both a modern and classic interior. Dracaena fr. Tornado is a strong plant which doesn’t need special care. It just needs to be placed in a light place as long as it is not in the sun. Watering the plant weekly and adding some fertiliser once in a while is sufficient care.

All the Dracaena young plants and Potplants are produced by ourselves in the Netherlands in an environmentally and bee friendly way. In the second half of 2017 the Dracaena fr. Tornado will become gradually available for the consumer.
Young plants will become available at the end of 2017.
