Poland: Take a look behind the scenes at JMP Flowers
The orchids are grown on an area of about 6 ha, anthuriums on 3.2 ha and roses on about 5.7 ha.
Supplying a high quality plant is one of JMP's main priorities. Over the years, they invested in several greenhouse technologies. Their greenhouse is, for example, equipped with climatic and fertilizing computers, shade and energy curtains, high pressure airspray, roof sprinkler systems and plant watering systems. And the use of technology goes all the way through packaging and transportation. JMP was one of the first Polish companies that employed robots for the automatic sorting and packing of roses.
In order to maintain a fresh product with a long vaselife all the way to the end-consumer, JMP Flowers decided to set up their own shipment fleet and sales points at many floral markets in Poland and abroad. Owing to this, flowers are being delivered directly from the producer to florists and wholesale customers within a period of 48 hours from the cut till vase.
