Photo Report: Seasonal Trade Fair 2017

It was the perfect timing this year. At the Seasonal Trade Fair, held at the FloraHolland auction in Naaldwijk on March 8 and 9, over 300 growers presented their garden and bedding plant assortment. The exhibition just started and the sun started to shine. If the exhibition would have taken place this week, it would probably have resulted in logistical challenges for several growers as good weather has been forecast for this week.

Our colleagues of our Dutch ornamental newsletter BPnieuws.nl visited the fair and made a photo report (In Dutch).

The majority of the exhibiting companies were of Dutch origin, but there were also some German, Belgian and Danish companies presenting their products.

The visitor numbers are not published yet, but we can say that the first day was well visited. At the fair, demonstrations were taking place in the Royal FloraHolland House. This year's theme was Generation Next. At the FloraHolland House, the young generation of growers, customers and florists could meet with the current generations to discuss topics like sustainability, health, e-commerce and the future of the horticultural sector.
