First China Flower Trade Fair attracts international crowd

The first China Flower Trade Fair that was held this week in Guangzhou, China has ended. The HPP International Exhibitions Group based in Amsterdam, who partnered for this trade fair with the China based Grandeur Exhibition Group, is delighted with the impression the exhibition made on the visiting Chinese flower traders.

HPP Exhibitions has a long history with China and actually started the company in the mid-eighties with organizing floriculture exhibitions in China. In fact it was HPP that organized the first flower fair ever in China in 1985. As of this year HPP is back in China after an absence of 22 years and the success of the latest fair proves HPP still has the skills how to do a successful flower trade fair in China, be it with a professional Chinese partner.

Flower buyers attended from various big cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Hanzhou, Guangzhou and several other important cities. There were also quite a few buyers present from Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, Japan and even the Maldives. Besides the participation of flower growers from Kenya, Ethiopia, Colombia, Holland and Ecuador the presence of Royal FloraHolland also contributed to the success of the fair.

The next China Flower Trade Fair will again be organized next year in March. Exact dates will be announced later this month.
