Elho launches 100% recycled 'coffee pot' made from coffee grounds

Elho has developed a 'coffee pot' made from 100% recycled material and containing the coffee grounds from at least 3 cups of coffee. The millions of kilos of coffee grounds that end up in landfills each year are thus given a second life in the form of a high-quality flower pot. With a coffee plant in it, the cycle is truly closed.

The Elho coffee pot is made from a combination of reused plastic and raw materials made from coffee grounds. Each pot contains at least 3 cups of coffee waste, from the 3.4 cups of the 14 cm pot, to the 10.9 cups of the 22 cm pot. The coffee grounds come from Coffee Based. 100 million kilos of coffee grounds end up in the waste each year, so reusing them makes perfect sense.

Coffee Grounds Friends for Life
The material of this flower pot is as strong as the darkest coffee bean and is 100% recyclable. Elho aims for the production process to be as sustainable as possible, which is why they use their own wind energy. Moreover, the products that are brought to the market can last a lifetime.

The coffee collection can be viewed here.
