NuFlowers, LLC has completed its new sunflower innovation and production facility located on 160 acres in Woodland, CA. The new facility consolidates into a 2000 m2 facility its administration and research, seed conditioning and storage, along with product fulfillment for its distributors and retail website, SunflowerSelections.com.
Owners and geneticists Tom Heaton and Olga Chengaeva commented, “We’ve grown tremendously in the last 10 years. Our popular ProCut® series, with its wide array of colors, needed a bigger home. Now, we have tripled our capacity and are excited about the future. Our new greenhouse will guarantee rapid cycling of our genetic materials to bring new ornamental sunflower products to our customers faster.”
Based in Woodland, California, NuFlowers, LLC is in its 47th year of ornamental sunflower breeding, supplying both garden types and cut sunflower varieties to growers worldwide through its distributors worldwide and its retail website in North America.
