UK: Ebtech complete turnkey glasshouse project

Ebtech Glasshouse Systems have completed the glasshouse turnkey project for the British Garden Centres Group at Woodthorpe Garden Centre in Lincolnshire.

The works included the supply and construction of a used glasshouse of 1,228 sq.m. following the demolition of an old wooden structure.

Measuring 25.6m wide x 48m long the glasshouse had to fit into a tight space, maximising every inch possible to provide the client with maximum growing capacity. The glasshouse has a post height of 3.5m and ventilation on both sides of the ridge in each bay.

Ebtech worked very closely in conjunction with the client on the ground works, utilising as much of the existing paving as possible.

Following the construction Ebtech installed a shade screening system using Ludvig Svensson cloth material, Harmony 5220 O FR, a fire retardant material on a wire driven system with a profiled leading edge.

To complete the project a simple climate control system is installed c/w weather station to operate the vents and screen systems automatically.

The new facilities will provide the Garden Centre with a larger outlet for the plant sales and distribution.
