CAN: Firefly Nightglow Diervilla Awarded Gold at Plantarium 2017

Bloomin’ Easy proudly earned another award this summer with its 2017 release, Firefly Nightglow Diervilla winning a coveted Gold Medal this year at Plantarium, held annually in Boskoop, NL.

The award has further increased demand for this unique new variety, exclusive to the Bloomin’ Easy collection. We’re excited to have availability remaining for spring 2018 to offer our partners.

We expect Nightglow to sell out quickly so get your order in now to secure your numbers for spring.

The judging at this prestigious event is extremely competitive. The new variety submitted must possess clear improvements and unique qualities – Nightglow certainly meets this criteria.

Other Bloomin’ Easy varieties to take a Plantarium Gold is Tilt-A-Swirl Hydrangea, and last year Tuxedo Weigela was awarded Silver. The selection process for Bloomin’ Easy varieties is quite strict, and the awards highlight their requirement to bring only truly unique and improved plants to market.

What makes Nightglow so special?
  • Rich red foliage from first flush to frost in full sun
  • Vibrant yellow flowers clusters contrast sharply
  • Compact at 2-3′ tall and wide; fountain form
  • Zone 4 (-34°C/ -30°F) cold hardy
Nightglow has everything young homeowners desire in a plant; it’s strikingly beautiful, compact to fit almost any space, and resilient so it doesn’t require lots of maintenance to thrive. We’re confident you’ll love this new Diervilla as much as we do. To get your numbers, contact your Van Belle Rep or call 1-888-826-2355 today.
