Floriculture Sustainability Initiative welcomes three new members
Holla Roses is a rose grower based in Ziway, Ethiopia. Currently they are increasing their focus on sustainability, future-proof floricultural management and trading with respect for people and the environment. As grower Holla Roses is already working in accordance with the existing various certifications to stimulate and support the on-going process checked by independent auditors on a regular basis. Joining FSI, they want to further contribute to the international cooperation on sustainability in the floriculture sector and actively engage with other players of the supply chain on the topic.
Specialists in optimising flower and plant supply chains, FlowerWatch aim to deliver better quality flowers more sustainably from farm to shop: “While working on CO2 reduction and minimising waste we usually end up delivering a better quality product”. FlowerWatch looks forward to putting its knowledge and expertise together with other FSI members to help strengthen the FSI approach and reaching our common ambition.
Verdel bloemenexport is a Dutch-based trading company founded in 1969. This family business puts all their effort into helping their customers and growers be more successful. As an organisation, Verdel is MPS-Florimark certified and believe sustainability is a must to keep advancing their business as well as the sector. As FSI member, they want to do more for sustainability and further contribute to improve practices in the supply chain.
