Colombian nursery growers visit Mexico

A group of 18 Colombian growers traveled to Mexico this week to make a tour of the main production areas of live plants, mainly in the state of Morelos. The initiative is part of the international agenda of the Association of Colombian Nurseries and Ornamental Growers (Colviveros).

This national association showed participants one of the most important examples of ornamental plants production and commercialization in Latin America, which is valued at USD 300 million annually.

The agenda included visits to Xochimilco's canals, island farms, and flower market, and the Mexican Gardens, one of the world's largest ornamental plant theme parks. Participants also toured the largest Mexican plant nurseries of Floraplant and Floramundo and met the producers of the Wholesale Nursery Cooperativa (Conaplor) in Cuernavaca and Cuautla.
