UK: Hillier counting on Goldrush at Chelsea Flower Show
The Goldrush is a great new variety that comes up in spring. The unique leaves of the Goldrush start out with golden and orange colors. Then they mature into a golden yellow, after which they turn green during the summer. Goldrush blooms in the summer with beautiful purple and white flowers and becomes about 1.50 - 2m high and 1m wide. Goldrush enjoys being in the sun in a moist and well-permeable soil. It’s perfect for shrub borders, in mixed containers and as a solitary plant on a balcony or terrace. This hardy Hydrangea aspera is also easy to propagate.
The breeder is the Dutch Coonen Nursery from Baarlo with Plantipp BV as management. Both parties are convinced that with all these fantastic features, Hydrangea Goldrush is a winner!
