As a GreenTech stunt, Mardenkro has coated the famous restaurant ‘De Kas’ in Amsterdam. In total, four different colors of coatings were applied to the roof. With this stunt, Mardenkro wants to show how the coatings can increase production and quality.
De Kas has its own greenhouse next to the restaurant and is able to supply fresh products to the guests. Precision and craftsmanship are not only important in the kitchen, but also in the garden.
Colors of the rainbowBarry Zuidgeest, sales manager Mardenkro: "De Kas has a unique concept in Amsterdam: the fresh vegetables from the greenhouse are immediately brought to you in the restaurant. During GreenTech, many visitors eat at De Kas and that gives us the opportunity to show our coatings in rainbow colors. Especially, the colors blue, green, red and white are clearly visible.”
Mardenkro is known for coatings that reflect excessive sunlight. In the past, the ReduSol coating represented a breakthrough in comparison to traditional chalk products. Mardenkro is now introducing a cohesive package of solutions designed to admit up to ten percent more natural light into the greenhouse. This means that Mardenkro can help growers throughout the year to create the perfect greenhouse climate to increase their production.
Seasonal coatingZuidgeest: "De Kas adapts the menu to the season, we also adapt to the season. The similarities and the way of working have brought us to this collaboration. It is nice to see that the colors of the coatings are visible. And it’s something different; this is the first time in our company history that we coated a restaurant.”
Interested to see the coatings and have a nice dinner? You can still reserve a table during the GreenTech week at restaurant De Kas.
