The plant is a new addition to Terra Nova Nurseries’ Poquito series, which includes four varieties. U.S.D.A. Hardiness Zones for Agastache Poquito Lavender are five to 10, and the variety offers the ability for full-sun exposure. Mature plant height is 11”, with a width of 15”, and an extended flower height of 14”.
Special uses allow the new variety to be a multi-purpose garden plant in the Deep South. The fragrant Agastache Poquito Lavender makes a great cut flower. The plant serves as a hummingbird and pollinator attractor. It is also deer-resistant and is drought tolerant once established. Colorful companions include Terra Nova Nurseries’ Heuchera ‘Cherry Cola’, Coreopsis ‘Citrine’ and Kniphofia ‘Lemon Popsicle’.
