Terra Nova Nurseries announced a sneak peek of Agastache Poquito Lavender (‘TNAGAPL') PPAF. This variety has a dwarf, bushy habit that performs equally well in sunny borders, containers or mixed beds. The perennial has showy, large spikes of bright-lavender-pink flowers that glow over bright-green foliage from summer to fall. Bloom time for Agastache Poquito Lavender ranges from May to October.
The plant is a new addition to Terra Nova Nurseries’ Poquito series, which includes four varieties. U.S.D.A. Hardiness Zones for Agastache Poquito Lavender are five to 10, and the variety offers the ability for full-sun exposure. Mature plant height is 11”, with a width of 15”, and an extended flower height of 14”.
Special uses allow the new variety to be a multi-purpose garden plant in the Deep South. The fragrant Agastache Poquito Lavender makes a great cut flower. The plant serves as a hummingbird and pollinator attractor. It is also deer-resistant and is drought tolerant once established. Colorful companions include Terra Nova Nurseries’ Heuchera ‘Cherry Cola’, Coreopsis ‘Citrine’ and Kniphofia ‘Lemon Popsicle’.
