Bloomingdale Roses introduces Knox
Buyers & press are invited for the presentation of the complete rose assortment of Bloomingdale Roses and a ‘Meet & Greet’ with owner Bunty Shah in the presentation rooms of Hoven & De Mooij in Aalsmeer. At this presentation visitors can have a drink and something to eat, as during the introduction of Bloomingdale Roses 3 years ago, at a traditional Dutch herring-cart.
Knox
Rose ‘Knox’ is a yellow with purple bi-coloured rose with flower buds of more than 6.5 cm. Knox will be available in lengths from 60 to 90 cm. Knox is a variety of breeder United Selections and has product code 117630 and has a vase life of 12 to 14 days.
Total assortment
The assortment of Bloomingdale Roses is now grown to a very complete assortment of 20 varieties. Bloomingdale Roses has a modern nursery of 30 hectares in the Timau region, Kenya. This region is situated at the slopes of Mount Kenya at an altitude of 2.450 metres above sea level.
Bloomingdale has, next to Knox, the following range of large bud varieties T-hybrid roses in production: 3D, Altavista, Athena, Belle Rose, Blush, Chapeau, Double Fashion, Duett, Eliza, Good Times, I2I, Madam Pink, Madam Red, Marie Claire, Mariyo! New Orleans, Nicoletta, Silantoi@ and Statue. The lengths of the roses vary from 40 to 100 cm. The in total 19 varieties of Bloomingdale Roses are from breeders Interplant, Jan Spek Rozen, Kordes, Nirp International, Olij breeding BV, Schreurs & United Selections.
