USDA Certified Organic tree grower joins Bower & Branch network

Bower & Branch, the e-commerce brand consisting of a network of independent growers, service providers and garden retailers across the United States, continues to expand with the addition of Raemelton Farm in Frederick County, Maryland to the grower network. Raemelton Farm is the first and only USDA Certified Organic Tree Grower in the industry.

Don Eaton, founder and CEO of EdenGrene, dba Bower & Branch, believes strongly that certified organic production will play an important role in the future of the green industry.

"Growers must step away and study closely their individual impact on local environments, as well as the impact on other environments where our plants are sold and planted," said Eaton. "How we grow, what we grow, what inputs are used and how we package will all be, and should be, challenged by each of us  in the coming years. Bower & Branch is supporting our network growers today by providing product value positions, sales channels and consumer accessibility for environmentally beneficial plants."

"Programs like Audubon's Plants for Birds, being introduced nationally through Bower & Branch, will benefit greatly from courageous and forward-thinking growers and retailers who are committed to being pioneers and leaders in the new green industry being defined online and in the landscape."

"We're thrilled to move our trees through an entirely new sales channel. Giving retail consumers direct access to our diverse pallet of sustainably grown plants is great for everybody,” Steve Black, owner and operator of Raemelton Farm, speaking on the benefits of joining Bower & Branch.

"By offering a diverse set of ornamental, fruit, and native trees through Bower & Branch, we can help consumers pick the tree they really want, not just what's available in their local area. Organic agriculture is growing at a fantastic rate—especially non-food organic. Being able to offer our USDA Certified Organic trees directly to consumers who prefer to shop organic is a huge step forward," states Black.

"Raemelton's partnership with Bower & Branch is going to leverage two deep-seated, long-running consumer trends: the willingness to buy anything online and the desire to demonstrate environmental consciousness through buying decisions. Every homeowner with a backyard and an internet connection can now choose sustainably grown and Certified Organic landscape trees,” says Black.
