Alliance Hoogendoorn and Tecnológico de Monterrey:

"IIVO empowers Mexican horticulture"

Hoogendoorn Growth Management announces an alliance with Tecnológico de Monterrey, a private universities in Mexico and Latin America, known for its strong emphasis on entrepreneurship, technological advancements, and its commitment to contributing to the development of society.

The momentous occasion unfolded at CAETEC, the Experimental Agricultural Field of Tec Campus Queretaro, a hub conceived four decades ago for the exploration of agricultural disciplines. Serving as one of Tec de Monterrey's laboratories, CAETEC played host to the formal presentation of the IIVO computer by Hoogendoorn.

The IIVO computer, at the heart of this partnership, is a system designed to optimize greenhouse climate control, irrigation management, and overall crop management. It combines sensors, artificial intelligence algorithms, and real-time data analytics to create a comprehensive and responsive system.

The event began with a tour for the Vice President of Tec de Monterrey, Pascual Alcocer, and the Dutch Ambassador, Wilfred Mohr, showcasing the workings of the IIVO computer and an exploration of CAETEC's 2 hectares of greenhouses and seven technology modules.

In a dedicated room, Martin Helmich, CCO of Hoogendoorn Growth Management, highlighted the important role of partnerships in cultivating expertise in new technologies. The occasion witnessed the official recognition of the collaboration, affirming Hoogendoorn and Tec de Monterrey as strategic partners. Helmich highlighted the importance of such partnerships, emphasizing their role in cultivating agricultural professionals equipped with knowledge of new technologies and fostering an exchange of expertise.

Dutch Ambassador Wilfred Mohr emphasized the significance of the collaboration between a Dutch industry leader and a Mexican educational institution, praising it as a catalyst for knowledge exchange and technological advancement in the agricultural sector.

In closing, Pascual Alcocer expressed gratitude for the IIVO computer, acknowledging its potential to enhance research capabilities within CAETEC and provide students with hands-on experience in agricultural technologies.
