Spring edition of Plantarium|Groen-Direkt raring to go with a full fair floor

Next Tuesday, 6 February, will see the opening of the second spring edition of Plantarium|Groen-Direkt . With a full fair floor almost bursting at its seams, it will be awaiting professional garden plant buyers with a complete range of outdoor green products that will be directly available to them. On top of this, the Green Future Hub will pay attention to low-peat cultivation, and there will be twelve nominations for the 'Visitors' Favourite' Green Retail Award.

The spring edition of Plantarium|Groen-Direkt, which will take place on 6 and 7 February 2024, is the number-one opportunity for suppliers and everyone involved in the green sector to meet one another. Marjolein Wieckardt: "All the available fair floor space has been rented and we are delighted that we've been able to offer everyone interested a place at the trade fair. With just over 180 exhibitors, novelties, and Groen-Direkt's more than 5000 sample batches and Mediterranean range, we once again have loads to offer our visitors".

Focus on low-peat cultivation at the Green Future Hub
At the Green Future Hub, growers, wholesalers, and retailers can obtain information on nursery products, their cultivation in low-peat or peat-free substrates, and the impact of that on trade. Eight exhibitors with experience in this field will present attractive products, while Anthos, LTO, and Delphy will share their knowledge of Dutch and international rules and regulations and explain the possibilities of cultivation in low-peat mixtures. Specialists will be talking to one another, and the public during walk-in question sessions between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Hortipoint will test the knowledge of exhibitors and visitors.

'Visitors' Favourite' Green Retail Award
The spring edition of the fair will, of course, also pay attention to novelties. Twelve products have been nominated for the Visitors' Favourite contest of the Green Retail Awards:

Camellia' Beauty Blush', Camellia' Winter Perfume Pink' and Camellia' Winter Perfume Pearl', Cordyline australis' Lime Passion', Eucalyptus websteriana 'Botanic Hearts,' Fagus sylvatica 'Icefire,' Fargesia' Moontears’® Boobux, Hydrangea serrata Euphoria® 'Pink,' Prostanthera' Rosette'®, The Living Garden Flowermix, Thuja plicata Aldrich Mountain, Viburnum Magical Spring Glory and Winter Angel Helleborus Frostkiss Magico. You'll find descriptions of all the products in question on the novelties page at the website. The products submitted for this inspection will be presented directly at the fair's entrance. During the fair days visitors will be invited to vote for what they consider the best new product. The winner of the Visitors' Favourite will be announced at 3 p.m. on Wednesday 7 February.

The fair will be open from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. (4 p.m. on the Wednesday).
