Flower imports to Georgia have increased by 1.43 times over the past 5 years

From January to December 2023, Georgia imported 1,718 tons of flowers worth $5.126 million, marking a 107.95% increase compared to the same period in 2019.

The increase in flower imports reflects the growing consumer demand for flowers in Georgia.

Recent statistics from GeoStat unveil a notable shift in the country's primary flower suppliers. According to data, Turkey has been the largest flower supplier to Georgia for many years, but in 2023, it was surpassed by Armenia. Specifically, 39.57% of flowers were imported from Armenia in 2023, followed by Turkey at 28.3% and Ecuador at 18.9%.
