"Lively and active Plantarium|Groen-Direkt edition"

The second Spring edition of Plantarium|Groen-Direkt was a lively and active one. More than 180 exhibitors presented their company and assortment, and outdoor greenery was immediately available for visitors.

Marjolein Wieckardt (trade fair manager) says: "It was a pleasant and relaxed fair with a good number of visitors. Visitor groups, such as garden center chains, found their way to the fair. Among these was a group from De Bosrand that enjoyed a cup of coffee before they visited the exhibition".

Nursery Verboom B.V. from Zevenhuizen won the Visitor's Favorite – Green Retail Award with the Winter Angel Helleborus Frostkiss Magico

Focus on low-peat and the Green Future Hub
This edition of the Green Future Hub focused on peat-reduced/peat-free grown products. This topic has been discussed during Q&As with specialists from Anthos, Delphy, LTO, and VPN. The general outcome of these discussions is that peat is likely to remain important in substrate cultivation, nevertheless, the environmental implications of peat usage should also be considered. As such, it's advised to use peat-reduced/ peat-free cultivation or peat with a RPP label.

Visitor's Favorite – Green Retail Award
During the fair, the 12 nominees of the Visitor's Favorite were presented. Visitors used green balls to vote for their favorite plant. This year's favorite was the Winter Angel Helleborus Frostkiss Magico from Nursery Verboom B.V. This plant's name derives from its flowers' colors, which are pink-white. The plant has marbled leaves that grow year-round. "When almost the entire winter garden sleeps, Magico brings color to the garden!"
