Over 1 million flowers imported to Krasnoyarsk, Russia, for March 8th 2024

For the 2024 International Women's Day celebration in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, over 1 million flowers from various countries have been imported. These flowers will be brought in by the retail chains "Krasny Yar" and "Baton."

Residents and visitors can expect a diverse selection:

  • tulips from Uzbekistan, Armenia, Belarus, and Russia;
  • chrysanthemums, gypsophila, eustoma, alstroemeria, colourful cacti, kalanchoe, gerberas, and lilies from Holland;
  • roses in bouquets and pots, hyacinths, and primroses from Russia;
  • orchids imported from Thailand.

Elena Shevtsova, head of "Fruits and Vegetables" at the retail chains, emphasized their expanded range of potted plants and increased variety of tulips to cater to customer preferences. They promise that the price of tulips will remain at the 2023 level.

Locally grown flowers will also be available, including 20 tulip varieties tailored to popular shades.
