India: Tulip garden to be thrown open on March 23

Asia's largest Tulip garden, situated in the foothills of the Zabarwan mountain range, will be thrown open on March 23.

Confirming to Greater Kashmir, Commissioner Secretary Floriculture Sheikh Fayaz said that the garden is all set to open on March 23. He said the arrangement required for this year's Tulip show had been almost finalized.

"The Asia's largest Tulip garden situated in the foothills of the Zabarwan mountains will be thrown open for visitors on March 23," the officer said.

He also said that in a bid to further boost the tourism allure of Asia's largest Tulip garden, the Department of Floriculture has added five more new tulip varieties this year besides expanding the existing garden area.
