India: Tulip colors to enchant Srinagar this March

Srinagar is preparing for one of its most vibrant and anticipated annual events – the opening of the iconic Tulip Garden on March 23. With nearly five new tulip varieties added this year, bringing the total to an impressive 73, the garden promises to be a mesmerizing spectacle of colors and fragrances that will dazzle visitors from near and far.

Situated along the picturesque banks of Dal Lake in the foothills of the Zabarwan mountains, the Tulip Garden has become a symbol of Srinagar's spring renaissance. When in full bloom, the garden's breathtaking display of 1.7 million tulips attracts locals and tourists alike, eager to immerse themselves in the natural splendor.

Floriculture officials have been working tirelessly to ensure the garden is in pristine condition for its grand opening. Gardeners can be seen meticulously preparing flower beds, clearing weeds, and aerating the soil to provide the ideal environment for the tulips to thrive.

"The garden will be thrown open on March 23, and people will experience a mesmerizing bloom; currently, we are on the job with our people ensuring the finishing touches," said a Floriculture Officer.
